Homeworker awarded Ambassador status by ACE

A Salisbury travel advisor has been awarded Ambassador status by the Association of Cruise Experts (ACE).
Future Travel homeworker Emma Sanger joins an elite group of just 35 UK agents who have received the accolade following training on the ACE accreditation scheme. The award acknowledges Sanger's expertise and competence in all cruising matters.
Sanger said: "I've always had a interest in cruise holidays, and have done my best to build up a knowledge of cruiselines, ships and destinations through education and by travelling on ships.
"I'm thrilled to have this award, and I'm looking forward to sharing my knowledge with the holidaymakers of Salisbury and beyond."
An ACE spokesperson said: "The ACE Ambassador scheme acknowledges the achievements of agents who make that extra effort to ensure they provide their customers with the best possible advice and guidance. Emma has proved herself to be worthy of Ambassador status."

Travel agent reaches final of national newspaper competition

Travel agent Emma Sanger checked out the world’s biggest cruise ship at the weekend as a finalist in a national newspaper competition to find the Face of Travel 2008.
Emma Sanger, 36 from Future Travel in Salisbury,
beat off the challenge of 100's of hopefuls to make the final of the competition run by industry newspaper Travel Trade Gazette.
Emma had to present to a panel of industry experts during the launch celebrations of Royal Caribbean’s Independence of the Seas in Southampton on Saturday, after being voted into the final in an online poll.
Although she narrowly missed out on winning one of the two top accolades, she was praised by the judging panel for her professionalism and personality.
“It was an incredibly tough choice and all our 16 finalists were outstanding,” said TTG editor Lucy Huxley.
“Emma was very unlucky to miss out in the final judging but showed what fantastic people we have working in the travel industry.”

Garden Party at Sea

July 2010
Emma Sanger from Future Travel worked with Celebrity Cruises to host some of its top clients at an exclusive lawn tea party onboard Southampton based, Celebrity Eclipse. Over 25 cruise fans joined the Future Travel team and Celebrity Cruises’ head of field sales, Michael English, on the ship for a summer picnic lunch on the grass lawn. Served up where sandwiches and fruit skewers, not forgetting glasses of Pimms, as well as a special hot glass show.
Tea party guests were also joined by the Deputy Mayor of Salisbury, Councillor John Abbott as well as guests from the Salisbury Chamber of Commerce and Salisbury Rotary Club.
